It was a short time during a tall war. Not the Battle of the Bulge, but all the war most of us ever wanted to see. And, we all learned the definition of character. I had shared my time with men of good character... then and now. We were able to honor a colleague, smile with comrades from another time, and say “thanks” to other old soldiers who crossed our path forty-four years ago.
