Cpt. Babb commanded Battery A in August and September of 1968, at French Fort.

 He was hit by mortar fire and evacuated on 17 September 1968. Don is recipient of the Silver Star, a Bronze Star (Meritorious), a Purple Heart, and the Air Medal (Meritorious).

This is the story of a young West Point officer cut down in a vicious VC mortar barrage at French Fort.  These are chapters from his personal memoirs.
